Reviews
"I just say, 'Alexa, open the shades,' or 'Alexa, close the shades 50%' and it opens/closes as I ask. I also have it on a timer to open/close it at the time of day that I want. I sleep during the day and it feels like the dead of night. Well worth the price as it is saving my sanity."

"The motorized shade works smoothly, and I think even more importantly, it is quiet. I even opted for the hub and now control them with Google Home voice commands for a seamless high end experience. I am 10000% satisfied."
"I ordered motorized shades to make things as easy as possible for my 5'1" wife who would have issues reaching the shades. Now, all she has to do is say 'Alexa close the shades' and down they come."
"I’m in a wheelchair and cannot reach normal blinds to raise and lower them. I love the remote control."
Installation
The motor replaces the manual spring assist inside the fabric roll you already have. No new shade, no wiring, no electrician.
Step 1: Remove the Roller Cover
Get eye level with the cover and pull it towards you. It takes a bit of force.
Step 2: Remove the Side Covers
Press each cover so it tilts inwards, then lift it away from the side frame.
Step 3: Remove the Fabric Roll
Relock the red latches, return the pulley string to its clamp, then lift the roll out.
Step 4: Remove the manual spring assist
Pinch the tab at the right end with pliers and draw the spring assist out of the tube.
Step 5: Pair the new motor to remote
Choose a channel, hold P1 on the motor, then hold stop on the remote. Three beeps means paired.
Step 6: Insert the new motor
Slide it in with its grooves lined up to the ribs inside the tube, then align the tabs.
Step 7: Install the Fabric Roll
Use the dashed lines to line the slots up with the bracket tracks, then push in until it clicks.
Step 8: Attach pulley strings
Thread the knotted string through the rear notch of the handrail. Two hands, the string is tight.
Step 9: Attach Side Covers
Guide both covers back in from the bottom, LightSeals on the same side, to hide the strings.
Step 10: Release rotation locks
Slide the red latch on both corner brackets. Do not pull the shade by hand yet.
Step 11: Set your upper limit
Drive the shade to your preferred open position, then hold up and stop for 3 seconds.
Step 12: Set your lower limit
Drive it to your preferred closed position, then hold down and stop for 3 seconds.
Step 13: Install Roller Cover
Clip the roller cover back on. Your shade is now motorized.
