Inside mount needs 1″ of recess depth. Outside mount needs 2″ of flat surface.
Step 2
Measure your width
Use a metal tape measure to find the shortest width at three points across your window.
Step 3
Measure your height
Measure the shortest height at three points down your window.
Step 4
Check your window is within ¼″ square
Inside mount only. Compare diagonal measurements to catch any issues before ordering.
Step 5
Check your window opening
Inside mount: check for obstructions inside the window recess. Outside mount: confirm you have enough flat surface around the window.
Step 6
Record your measurements
Write down your final width and height, rounded down to the nearest 1/16th.
