Ultimate Blackout Shade

This product is amazing and totally worth the price. It was the easiest process from the ordering and sizing, to the install. Installing is such a breeze. They have step by step videos on what to do. Anyone can do it. The look is top notch and they don’t lie, total blackout! We cannot be happier. Definitely recommend purchasing them. We are in love 🥰

Absolutely five stars for UBlockout! We installed two of their fully blackout blinds in our primary bedroom right after moving into our new home, and they’ve been completely life-changing. When they say blackout, they mean it — it’s truly pitch black, even in the middle of the day. I honestly didn’t think that level of darkness was possible without shutters or layers of curtains, but these blinds proved me wrong. The sleep quality improvement alone makes them worth every single penny. If you’re on the fence, do it. You won’t regret it!

I work as an industrial electrician at a paper mill working swing shift. I have had several types of light blocking but never a good fit. Always a peak of sunshine that messes with your head on a sunny day. I seen the pictures and seen the reviews and took a chance. The thing that held me back was the price. They are worth it though. The install was easy. Less than an hour plus the written and video steps are great Shades look great. Total black out from my old light blocking to my new.

After installing and using one Ultimate Blackout Shade, I got two more for my other bedrooms. I NEED total darkness to sleep (and my kids too, apparently), and this is the only product that ever worked. I’ve been on a long quest to find real, total blackout solutions and this is it. Everyone else claiming “blackout” are usually talking about the material of their shades/curtains while conveniently not addressing the gaps between their product and the wall. UBlockout solves that and delivers on its promise. Absolutely ZERO light coming through. Installation is very easy. The instructions have diagrams and even videos so you can’t get it wrong. But if you do, just contact them and they will be able to help you. The materials don’t feel cheap at all. The frame is really solid—which is a nice surprise these days when most things bought online are cheap and flimsy. I’m finally sleeping past sunrise! A HUGE thank you to Joshua and his team.

I’m not gaining anything by writing this review. I don’t normally go out of my way to write reviews, but I knew I needed to for this one! Ever since we installed them in our baby’s nursery, my husband and I can’t stop saying how obsessed we are with them! The communication from the company was great, they let you know every step that your shade is in throughout the entire process right up to delivery. My husband and I were both skeptical about the installation, but they were surprisingly super easy! (We got the first one in about an hour tops, and the second in like 20 mins, and neither of us are very handy lol) The step-by-step instructional videos are super nice and make the process a breeze! They’re really sturdy, the shade is easy to move up and down, and there are NO light leaks coming thru these bad boys! I wish I had invested in these when my first kid was younger, but we are definitely getting them in her room now! Even my parents AND in-laws keep saying how impressed they are with the quality and asking where we got them from! I’m trying to think of any flaws at all but I seriously can’t think of anything we dislike…10/10 totally worth it, if you’re thinking about getting them just do it, you won’t regret it!

I've worked as an overnight pharmacist in a hospital for over 6 years. Have always struggled trying to get my bedroom as dark as possible. I've tried the film on the windows. . . I've tried the room darkening curtains. . . I've tried the room darkening blinds. In fact, I was using all THREE and the room STILL wasn't dark enough. I just dealt with it. Decided to buy a new home and was determined to find a product that would fix my light issues. Ran across Ublockout one night at work. I was intrigued. . . . could their product really block 100% of all incoming light? From what I could tell, it did. I then started peppering customer service with questions because, being completely honest, using hammers and screwdrivers isn't in my wheelhouse when it comes to being skillful. I may have a doctorate degree but I was really intimidated I couldn't do it. Ublockout customer service was right there encouraging me that I really could install their product myself. With some trepidation, I purchased shades for 3 windows. Fast forward 3 weeks, the shades arrive, I close on the new house, and I had a few days before 'the big move'. . . so I decided to install the shades. I watched the installation video a few times. It made a lot of sense, but was still a little worried I would mess up the shade, the window, or BOTH. Needless to say--I had 3 small victories in my new house. All shades were installed flawlessly (first one took 45 minutes--the 3rd took 15 minutes!). Pretty proud moment. For the first time, my bedroom is PITCH black. I mean, can't-see-your-hand-in-front-of-your-face-pitch black. So dark in fact that I had to put a nightlight in the bathroom to I could see to get to the toilet! I've told all my night worker friends about these shades. Everyone that has seen the new house simply love these shades. I can't say enough--it's life changing when you have to sleep during the day. . . or, if you have bright streetlights outside your house--these shades block it all--including lightning flashes!
